St.Galler Kantonalbank has changed a lot since its foundation in 1868. From a government-owned credit institution has emerged a modern universal bank.
As measured by total assets of 2013, St.Galler Kantonalbank is the fifth largest cantonal bank in Switzerland. The parent company SGKB offers the entire range of financial services to its clients in the Cantons of St. Gallen and Appenzell Ausserrhoden. Moreover, the bank as an employer, taxpayer and sponsoring partner takes on its responsibility for the economic, social and cultural development of the region.
The assets of St.Galler Kantonalbank (SGKB) are covered by a government guarantee. The company has an Aa1 rating of Moody’s.
